AMCA – Toronto, in accordance with its status and purpose within the Croatian community in the Greater Toronto Area
(GTA), and according to its Statute, is announcing an invitation for 2014 Student Scholarship applications.
The purpose of the AMCA Student Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a Canadian or Croatian university
student and to promote the AMCA name and mandate within the Croatian community in the GTA.
There will be two $1,000 scholarships awarded.
Scholarship applications are to be submitted to AMCA’s mailing address (see above) or via e-mail to AMCA's electronic
address, scholarship@AMCAtoronto.com, in .pdf format, no later than May 15, 2014.

Bilateral programmes of mobility in higher education are based on bilateral agreements and programmes involving scholarship exchange. Through bilateral programmes the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, annually offers an average of 400 scholarships for foreign students and researchers at Croatian higher education or research institutions and around 500 months of scholarships for Croatian citizens abroad.

The citizens of the following countries are currently eligible for scholarship in Croatia based on bilateral educational cooperation: Belgium (Flanders), Bulgaria, China, Germany (Bavaria), Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine.

Erasmus Mundus is a cooperation and mobility programme in the field of higher education that aims to enhance the quality of European higher education and to promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through cooperation with third countries. In addition, it contributes to the development of human resources and the international cooperation capacity of higher education institutions in third countries by increasing mobility between the European Union and these countries.

This Call for Proposals aims to support projects only under Action 2 of the programme.

Action 2: Erasmus Mundus Partnerships

  • Action 2 – STRAND 1: Partnerships with countries covered by the ENPI, DCI, IPA and ICI (ICI+) instruments (former External Cooperation Window)
  • Action 2 – STRAND 2: Partnerships with countries and territories covered by the Industrialised Countries Instrument (ICI)
