All teaching activities will be held in Croatian. However, foreign students in mixed groups will have the opportunity to attend additional office hours with the lecturer and teaching assistants in English to help master the course materials. Additionally, the lecturer will refer foreign students to the corresponding literature in English, as well as give them the possibility of taking the associated exams in English.

Description:
The main objective of the course is to introduce students to the communication sciences and communicology as an interdisciplinary and integrative science that seeks to address and improve communication opportunities, while the specific objectives of the study course are providing insight into the historical and contemporary communication and communicology themes and dynamics in order to master the basic knowledge of the area so as to enable the students to access and analyze communication on all its levels: intrapersonal, interpersonal, social and media.
Learning outcomes:
  1. to distinguish basic communication terms
  2. to reconsider certain forms of communication
  3. to argue the interdisciplinary character of communication as a science
  4. to evaluate the effects of communication on different areas of human activity
  5. to come up with different persuasion strategies and analyze their effectiveness
  6. interpret the action of interpersonal communication in different contexts

Hrvatski studiji Sveučilišta u Zagrebu pokrenuti su i ustrojeni 16. studenoga 1992., isprva samo kao dvosemestralni Sveučilišni komparativni studij hrvatske filozofije i društva. Taj je program potom preoblikovan u program redovitog četverogodišnjeg studija.
